In an attempt to make an organising guide I'll first leave this page in the same way as the Cleaning tips but I'll definitely change it later.
- You don't need complicated and novelty organising items to keep your house organised, usually, just common items like an ice cream box will do.
- To store leafy vegetables properly, so they can last longer, wash them and put it in a plastic container with a paper towel on the bottom (the paper will absorb the humidity keeping it fresh).
- You'll need to keep continuously tidying up to keep your house organised, spare at least a weekend once a year to organise everything at home, throw broken/unused stuff away, donate unused clothing etc.
- Always clean when you are tidying up, this way you can do two stuff at once (eg. take the opportunity to tidy up the inside of your closet while cleaning and vice-versa).
- In January put all your clothing hangers with the hook facing you, while you take off and wear your clothes you can place them in the normal way. In December take all the clothing you didn't change the hanger position and donate it (this means that you didn't use it in a whole year so you won't need it anyway).
- Never store medicine and makeup in the bathroom or in the kitchen because both are humid and hot places, it's better to store these items in a cool and dry place like your wardrobe or in the living room.
- Storage space is one of the most important things while organising. Invest in a bed with a chest cabinet or one with a chest storage underneath the mattress and/or a couch with the same type of storage underneath.
- Don't have too much decor on shelves, desks etc if you own cats. Everyone cat owner knows how they like to sleep on everything, so less is more, don't own a lot of stuff unless you want to tidy it everyday.
- Have a designated room and a proper place for everything in the house, group things of the similar category together and store everything on the same room (eg. keep all your clothing in your closet and choose which shelf/drawer you'll put them in or keep all your cleaning products under your kitchen sink etc). This way you can check everything of the same category at once which is useful for you to know when you own too much/too little of something.
- Also separate in categories when organising your pc/phone files and use the same tip of organising them frequently. You can use a tool, like this to rename your files and keep your files organised.
- When separating in categories know when there is enough items in a category to do it and if there is too much few items in a category, group similar categories together (eg. you are organising your closet, and you want to place your shorts and pants in different drawers but you don't have enough shorts or pants to fill a drawer, so just put all of them in the bottom's drawer, if you buy more clothing later you can reorganise them in their proper places).
